As I said in the introduction, the recipe is extremely easy. In fact, all dishes cooked this way are a breeze. :)

I put the honey, tomato juice, soy sauce and a few sprigs of oregano in the ceramic bowl of the Crock-Pot slow cooker and mixed them.

I bathed the thighs in the sauce obtained, I added the whole garlic, just cleaned, then a little more oregano and sesame.

I programmed the device for 5 hours in high mode and left. :) I went back to the end of baking to prepare an equally simple garnish, rice with dehydrated tomatoes.

The thighs, although they were from the "country", cooked so well! They were very well penetrated and the meat simply fell off the bone. It melted in your mouth, not another!

  3. Store overnight in foil-covered refrigerator.

  5. Serve with any dish.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

7. Place the tray in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 30-35 minutes. Baking time depends on each oven.

  • 75 ml soy sauces.

Thai chicken in sweet-spicy sauce with basmati rice

I don't think it's a secret anymore, the fact that Asian food has a special place in my soul. The explosion of flavors and spices, makes Asian cuisine a kind of gastronomic paradise. Today I will present you an absolutely delicious, sweet, spicy and full of flavor recipe.

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 200 gr of basmati rice
  • vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  • the juice from a lime
  • coriander / parsley
  • salt
  • pepper.
  • 150gr flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • about 200 ml of beaten milk
  • sweet Boya
  • salt
  • pepper.

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dough. We need to get a consistency similar to that of American pancake dough (you can juggle the amount of flour and whipped milk until you get the desired consistency).

After the dough is ready, cut the chicken breast into cubes. All we have to do is pour the dough over the chicken pieces and fry them in an oil bath until golden.

All the while, prepare the basmati rice according to the instructions on the package. When ready, season with salt, pepper and half a lime juice.

After we have finished frying the breast cubes, we have to deal with the sweet-spicy sauce. Thus, in a frying pan heat the garlic a little, then add the chicken, followed by sweet chilli sauce, the juice of half a lime, salt and pepper. Stir continuously for 3 minutes, then turn off the heat and season with chopped coriander and sesame seeds.

In the end, all we have to do is place the sticky chicken cubes over the basmati rice.

Sometimes I crave Asian food, flavors and sauces specific to traditional Chinese food. And so, I dared to make a chicken with soy sauce and honey, with a recipe I combined on the internet, on the website asiatogo.ro following the advice of this blog, because it seemed to me one of the best Chinese food sites I found. In fact, if I think about it, on other blogs I found only sections dedicated to the Asian specific, but asiatogo.ro, as its name suggests, contains only Asian recipes, being a place where lovers of these fragrant and exotic dishes can easily find what recipe they want. Now I have bookmarked the following Asian recipes that I want to make in my kitchen: chicken with sweet and sour sauce, spring packages and the recipe for pork in Thai sauce. They seem easy to make, with ingredients that can be purchased commercially without problems.

So, for my chicken with soy sauce and honey I used it like this:

First make the dough, mixing the egg with the salt and water, then adding the starch, baking powder and flour. The dough should come out relatively thin, like the mixture of egg and flour from the schnitzels. Leave the dough for about half an hour, then coat the chicken breast strips in the dough and fry in hot oil just like schnitzels. Remove on paper towels, then place in a bowl.

The sauce is prepared in a wok, ceramic or Teflon pan. First heat the oil, then, over low heat, add the garlic powder and ginger, stirring with a wooden spatula. Continue stirring for 30 seconds. Add in turn, salt, honey, rice wine, soy sauce and finally homogenized starch with a tablespoon of water. After mixing the ingredients well, leave the sauce on low heat with the lid on to simmer for 2 minutes. When ready, soak each piece of chicken in the sauce and then sprinkle sesame seeds on top. The taste of the sauce is garlicy, aromatic, and sweet and bitter, and its texture is more fluid if you put less spices.

I put next to this chicken breast prepared in Chinese style, with soy sauce and honey, a portion of pilaf with mushrooms.
